MASTER KIM
Head Coach
As a Taekwondo major graduate of Korea National Sports University and a 6th degree black belt master with over 15 years of teaching experience, Master Haksung Kim has given the team invaluable expertise and mentorship. He has coached the UCSD Taekwondo team for over 5 years, and earned the position of head coach in 2018. Within these years, he has coached the team to many successes, including multiple PacWest Meet titles and National Collegiate Taekwondo Championship titles.  In addition, he has served twice as the USA Taekwondo National Team Poomsae coach at the Summer Universiade Games of 2017 and 2019.
